The German International School Cape Town is looking to employ a Web and Graphic Designer as from 01.08.2018

The preferred candidate:

  • Candidate must have a relevant Design Degree/Diploma
  • 2 years of experience in website layout and design
  • Ability to multitask and prioritise
  • Ability to work well within a team and meet deadlines
  • Have initiative and be able to make decisions in a small team
  • Be a confident and competent communicator, both written and verbal
  • English language essential, German language knowledge advantageous
  • Software knowledge: Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator and Dreamweaver)

Essential duties and responsibilities are

  1. Design and regular update of the website in corporation with teachers and network partners
  2. Design of all print and digital media.
  3. Design of official school documents.
  4. Coordination of the annual yearbook (coordinating and scheduling of content, arrange printing and distribution)
  5. Design and distribution of newsletter (in cooperation with Administration team)
  6. Preparation and publication of an events timetable of the DSK in cooperation with the school directorate.
  7. Booking of advertisements with newspapers
  8. Coordination of class photo photography
  9. Social Media strategies and content handling (pictures, articles)
